To our friends and supporters,

Two years in a row, we have been blown away by the successes of the Kotlarz Classic golf and mini-golf tournament.

The 2009 Kotlarz Classic brought together more than 160 of our closest friends to share memories of Adam Kotlarz, a fun-loving father who died in January 2009 of a sudden heart attack. In addition to raising our spirits, the tournament raised more than $8,500 for the education fund for Adam’s infant son, Samuel.

We were ecstatic to repeat that success again the next year. The 2010 Kotlarz Classic raised $5,500, which we are using as seed money for a fund to help families struggling after the death of a parent.

That fund is also the destination for all proceeds from the 2011 Kotlarz Classic. The July 29, 2011, tournament returns to the Brookwoods Country Club in Ontario, NY, and Sportworks Family Fun Park in Macedon. As in past years, we plan to draw the bulk of our attendees from the Rochester and Syracuse regions, but we also have family members traveling to the tournament from New York City, Washington, D.C., and Charlotte, N.C.

We hope you will consider partnering with us to make the 2011 tournament an even greater success. We are seeking donations to use as prizes and items for our auction, which takes place during lunch. Donations may be sent to the 2011 Kotlarz Classic at the address listed at the top of our letterhead.

This year we are also debuting a variety of sponsorship levels ranging from hole sponsorships at $250 to tournament sponors at $1,000. We will recognize supporters prominently at our lunch, on our tournament’s Facebook page, webpage and in our pre-tournament publicity.

Even if your business is unable to support us at this time, we would be grateful if you could post our flyer or consider joining us for the event. We guarantee you will experience a serious tournament – with a sense of humor.
